Production Facilities
All Athlon Optics products, including riflescopes and binoculars, are sourced from outside of the United States. Most sports optics brands operating in the US follow the same routine, since this approach helps these producers to lower the price of their products that would cost a lot to manufacture if they were produced in the US. Why? Because the production and labor costs are substantially higher in North America compared to Europe, and the simplest of optics would end up being priced significantly higher than their counterparts in Europe and the Asia Pacific.
On the other hand, many people assume that products made in the Asia Pacific, especially Japan and China, are of inferior quality. This is especially not true, as the production facilities in these countries have developed the same level of manufacturing and technological standards as of other facilities anywhere in the world. Consequently, they are more than capable of producing riflescopes that range from low-quality entry-level models to high-quality scopes that could easily compete with European brands, such as Zeiss, Leica, or Swarovski. The factories in Asia produce riflescopes on technical specifications provided by the OEMs, and the quality and performance of scopes produced in Asia are reminiscent of these characteristics and not the production methods employed at those factories.
Out of the Athlon riflescope lineup, only the premium riflescope Athlon Cronus BTR is manufactured in Japan, whereas the rest of Athlon riflescopes are outsourced from China. With an exceptional lifetime warranty for all products, Athlon riflescopes are one of the best scopes in the market today.

Series Origin
Athlon Optics outsources its products, including riflescopes and binoculars entirely from China and Japan. Only the Athlon Cronus BTR scope is made at the LOW factory in Japan, while the remaining Athlon series are manufactured in China. Athlon Cronus BTR
The Cronus BTR series is the only high-end riflescope line from Athlon that is produced in Japan. The Cronus can be equally used in short-range and long-distance hunting situations, tactical shooting, as well as precision shooting in sports competitions. This series is equipped with several outstanding characteristics and is comparable to riflescopes from top brands, such as Leica and Zeiss.
