The binos are made from magnesium alloy, durable yet lightweight. A major step up from the plastic housing of Accolade models. The metal material gives Pulsar Merger LRF XP50 consistency of operation under any condition, which is vital for long-term observations. Thermal binos are intentionally modeled after classic daytime binoculars, making the use more straightforward and less tiring for the eyes. Pulsar had great success with the Accolade series of thermal binos but it was time for an update.

With a complete design overhaul, Pulsar Merger LRF XP50 offers stellar ergonomics. The model fits nicely into your hand and is less front-heavy than previous Pulsar binos.

One-touch activation of the most frequently used functions makes handling easy for beginners and proficient users. The focusing ring has been moved to the objective for more convenient and faster use. The top view reveals the biggest design improvement. Six oversized operation buttons all spaced out in the comfort access zone, right at your fingerpads. This is a huge upgrade from the cluttered control board of Accolade models. Merger allows for no-look use. The POWER button is the only one still colored blue.

Faster aperture lens F50/1.0 are another minor improvement from Accolade LRF XP50 PRO (F50/1.2). The objective lens are protected with rubber flip-up lens. If you wear glasses, the winged eyecups can also be flipped back. Pulsar Merger LRF XP50 is powered by two independent batteries. That is, removable APS3 and a built-in battery. Both are rechargeable and give 10 hours of continuous work. Pulsar changed the external power port and it now supports more ubiquitous USB Type C.

Pulsar stays on top of advanced software algorithms that improve image processing in adverse weather conditions (like fog or rain) by reducing noise and boosting contrast.

Pulsar Merger LRF XP50 offers 2.5х-20x variable magnification. Better target recognition on larger distances is aided with 8x digital zoom. The user can move through the settings in 2x steps or a smooth glide for a more natural zoom-in effect.

Pulsar Merger LRF XP50 is a multi-functional device, equipped with all the extras like image and video capture, Wifi connectivity, Pulsar cloud storage, and more.

The video recording function was improved from 640x480px (.avi) to 1024x768px clips (.mp4). You’ll be able to share and store your media with the Stream Vision 2 app.
